Free vs. Pro
AITerm's app stays usable when you are Free. Pro unlocks the features that run longer workflows, delegate to subscription CLIs, or package security state for teams.
Do not use this page for current pricing. Pricing can change; use the website pricing section or the in-app purchase/activation flow for the current offer.
Free features
- Real PTY terminal: tabs, split panes, saved workspaces, direct shell typing, and command history.
- AI command loop: translate plain English into an editable command, then approve before it runs.
/fixand/explain.- Local Ollama setup and BYOK cloud presets that use your own provider account.
- Safety profiles, risk badges, dry run, rollback prompts, policy-pack import/enforcement, and audit-log viewing.
Pro features
The Pro list below is generated from ProFeature.allCases in Entitlement.swift.
- Runbooks (
runbooks): run + capture/save runbooks, output chaining. - Agent (
agent): /agent multi-step loop. - Subscription Provider (
subscriptionProvider): Claude Code / Codex CLI delegation = your AI subscription. - Per Host SSH Profiles (
perHostSSHProfiles): authoring per-host SSH safety profiles (enforcement is always-on). - Audit Export (
auditExport): export a signed, tamper-evident audit transcript (persistence is Free). - Policy Pack Export (
policyPackExport): authoring/exporting a policy pack (importing + enforcing is Free). - Semantic History (
semanticHistory): on-device English-meaning re-rank of ⌘K history (lexical stays Free).
Starting or managing Pro
Use Upgrade to Pro… or Subscribe / Manage Plan… from the app menu to start a subscription or a trial, then Activation to enter or refresh your license. AITerm verifies a server-signed license token locally and keeps working through a valid offline grace window, so brief time offline won't drop you to Free.
License behavior
A trial, an active license, or offline grace all count as Pro. Needs-activation, checking, and expired states count as Free — an expired or definitively rejected license drops to Free rather than failing your session. (Development builds treat the entitlement as Pro for testing.)
